Remember the Starsky and Hutch show, and the movie The Fast and the Furious. This type of movie and our natural love of American cars has brought back the love of the old muscle car and many of us love to restore them. One of the most popular cars to restore is the Chevy Chevelle and those of us that are in the process of restoration, or those of us that love the chevelle know of the power of the 2bl Carb for the 1967 chevelle.

Holley Carburators and high performance vehicles have gone hand in hand for a very long time. When the Chevelles first came out the Holley carbs were a part of their performance and a part of what made them extremely powerful. The chevelle has always relied on the Holley carb and “Thank God” new Holley carbs are still available both in the 2bl version and the single. Installing a 2bl carb for a 1967 chevelle is possible and whether you install it or not in your 67 chevelle really depends on what you want out of the car.

You can find an original Holley carb at a swap meet, an online advertisement, a machine shop, or you can contact Holley themselves and get a new carb.
